"The Known World" is the Ennead's not-so-creative nickname for our role-playing universe. This world has been in development since 1990. Most of the games which have been set here have been long-running campaigns focused on the Cholaeic Order, a magical order derived and heavily modified from the Ars Magica system.

This site is still very much under development. We hope to have mage genealogies up soon, as well as a database of data concerning the Order. In the meantime, however, here is what we have.

Things Known is a repository for information, documentation, and chatter about the Known World and games taking place within it. We've still a lot of material to shovel into the database, but right now, you can find a Short History of Tympania, a Brief History of the Order, a handful of maps, a growing body of material about the culture of Gaetan, and a comic-in-progress. So perhaps that's quite enough to be getting started on.

The current table-top game taking place in the Known World is the Nimus Animae game, but we are also just now gearing up to begin a Lexicon Game concerning the magical texts of Nimus Animae's library.

There are also some vague plans to begin a more fictive-style on-line roleplaying game set in the Known World soonish. No firm details on the timeline for that as yet.
