Many copies exist of this text by the founder of the Circulan School of the house of Lem, but a truly princely edition has recently been commissioned by the ruler of Gaetan for covenant Nemus Animae in gratitude for bringing the message of the holy church to Gaetani lands. Gilded and lavished with gems of precious make, this edition has a traditional image of the story of Darylla being Awoken by Love, stamped onto its front cover.
The text begins with the creation of the world, bracketed and inset as an introduction to the first chapter. Marginal illustrations from parables in the books of Lem surround this tale and seem to issue out from the illustrations on the pages, such as that on the first page depicting the Demiurge and Wisdom creating the meaning and matter of the Universe. In the pages following, the books of Lem are summarized with explications on their connections with the holy tales. Each chapter begins with a precis of the holy progression, leading to reflections of these events in the works of Lem.
The marginal illustrations continue throughout the book, limned with a playful spirit that finds the swallows of Xander Pass from the Green Book swirling around a Priest King, a connection which is made in Concordance for the Birds. The illustrations of this text rival even the exemplary Roots of Clover, in their extensiveness and lyrical nature.
