filius Sciurus Doris, of House Derleth (formerly of House Cristofer)
apprenticed 407; declared mage 422
Protege of the Squirrel of Dor, Bethelion’s only non-human lecturer (not that anyone sees much of anything unusual about that, mind you), [C125b/D4g] is the only person Sciurus Doris has ever met who is aware that the fact that he is a squirrel is, well...a mite bit peculiar. For this reason alone, Sciurus would probably have sought to mentor him, but fortunately, the two also shared magical interests: trees, acorns, nuts... It was a fine match.
As the only student of Bethelion’s tenth graduating class who evidenced absolutely no interest in competing for the position of Loriat, [c125a/d4g] was generally well-liked at the University. Although he had no interest in taking part in the second rogue hunt in 421, he supported those of his classmates who did, and in 422 he joined with the Loriat [C125a] in refusing to consider himself graduated to magehood unless those of his fellow students who had been expelled for leaving Bethelion to join the rogue hunt were reinstated and recognized as well. After his graduation, he joined the magi of Flos Crastinus.
Although loyal to the University, [c125b/D4g] is also a strong supporter of the >Abelardian interpretation of Derlethianism: he supports his parens’ claim to membership in House Derleth and himself joined in the Derlethian Renunciation, renouncing House Cristofer in 423.
Flos Crastinus has found [C125b/D4g], with his keen eye for the unusual, a particularly useful addition to their covenant.
