Lyceth (mage of House Cristofer)

filia Vyreth, of House Cristofer
apprenticed 343; mage 358

Annalum: 343-360
Inceptum: 360-365
Annalum: 365-380
Hart's Desire: 380-

Raised at Annalum by Vyreth, filia of Caesius; like all of Caesius' descendants, she has been trained in Wendellian and Savacion combat techniques. Shortly after her ascension to magehood she joined the Inceptum, but left the covenant five years later after a dispute with its other magi over their training methods. She returned to Annalum along with one of the Inceptum-found students, Thomas of Westmarch, for whom she felt personally responsible as she herself had brought him to the Inceptum in the first place. She completed his training herself at Annalum. Interested in Chalycidican studies although not herself an Elementalist, she joined Hart's Desire once Thomas had completed his training in 380. She was one of the organizers of the ill-fated Chalycidican expedition of 399.

Lyceth holds a seat on the Cristoferean High Council, giving her tremendous influence within the Order as a whole. She was one of the primary negotiators of the truce between the Inceptum and Opacan magi and the rest of the Order in the wake of the Nonae Fidelitatis Incident of 406.

Her first student, known to many as "poor Thomas," is not a terribly respected mage: his primary interest is the fae, and he is a member of the Society of the Students of the Elder Children. Her second student, Chirothecarum Caesiarum, is a highly respected political mage who is generally expected to follow in Lyceth's footsteps on the Cristoferean High Council.
