filia Vector Fatis, of House Cristofer
apprenticed 372; mage 386
Nox Facis Caelestis: 372-392
Virginis In Litus: 392-
Raised at Nox Facis Caelestis by the covenant's mentally unstable founder Vector Fatis, she was led by dreams to Virginis In Litus in 392. There, she became interested in exploring the possibility of some connection between the Litan visions and those which had led to the founding of her home covenant of Nox Facis back in 364 and to the Lemmite [L81]'s joining of that same covenant in 371. This in turn led her to the specialization on which she has been focused for the past thirty years: the role of visions and dreams in the magic and history of the Order of Cholae as a whole.
Although C81's research and theory has yet to yield any consistently reliable practical application, she did, in the course of some experimentation in 416, manage to accidentally transport the Nox Facan Lemmite [L136] all the way to Virginis In Litus one night. Magi tend to be divided on how they feel about this accident: some have viewed it as a very promising start to the possible eventual development of a new form of magical transportation; others are made extremely nervous by the spectre of uncontrolled non- consentual teleportation running rampant throughout the Order.
C81 places strict limitations both on her consumption of the hallucinogenic berries of the Litans and on her participation in the Litans' shared dream work, as she fears that to delve too deeply into full-fledged Litanism might destroy the intellectual distance that she feels her theoretical work requires of her. In the pursuit of her research as a younger mage she spent a good deal of time away from the covenant, and for many years served as the liaison between Virginis In Litus and the West, a role which is now, however, mainly filled by her student, [C106]. Annalum trusts C81 as an independent observer and places a high value on her continued presence at Virginis In Litus, to serve as House Cristofer's eyes and ears at the covenant.
She is currently training her second student.
