Aelfred

filius Festinatio Diligens, of House Cristofer
apprenticed 386; mage 401

Prolific writer and outspoken defender of neo-conservative political ideology; one of the founders of Covenant Ne Interire.

Antrum: 386-392
Council of 198: 392-401
Hermit: 401-402
Ne Interire: 402-

A political conservative and prolific writer, and an outspoken critic of the First Speaker of the Cristoferean Council, his parens Festinatio Diligens. Raised first at Antrum, and then at the Council of 198 in Vestra. As an older apprentice in Vestra, much against his parens' wishes, he joined with Incitus, Augustine, and his fellow apprentices in mucking about with the mundane politics of Ventria.

He escaped the dissolution of the Council and the Ventrian purge of 400-401 unharmed and joined with Incitus in founding Covenant Ne Interire in 402. One year later, his presence at the covenant was used by its members as a pretext for refusing the Cristoferean observer sent by Annalum.

In 403, he took over as the editor of Mosley's Compendium, releasing addenda to the work every four years or so. Under his tenure, the Compendium's anti-Plenilunial bias--which had always been an evident if understated aspect of the work--has grown far more blatant and provocative.

Aelfred's theory that Vertagus of Savacion was actually murdered by her brother Meles, who had been conducting an incestuous love affair with her and killed her when he discovered her in a passionate embrace with Siccoculus of Savacion, has so infuriated Vertagus and Meles' student Pantera that she has repeatedly called him out to meet her in a formal duel. He has so far refused.

He is currently teaching his first student.
