Aegidius' first student and his heir, Cesiper was apprenticed during his master's twenty year quest throughout the Known World for other magical practitioners. For the first decade of his apprenticeship, he was taught on the hoof, receiving his magical training while he travelled the known world with Aegidius. Much of Cesiper's training was actually conducted by Cristofer: from 194 to 198, he was left in Cristofer's charge at Evasendia while Aegidius continued his search alone. He was declared mage in 200, two years after the founding of the Order of Cholae.
From 225 to 229, Cesiper took over Aegidius' duties both on the Council and as the leader of the House, and he was the only person to speak to Aegidius during those years of seclusion. He left Evasendia with Aegidius to found Covenant Lapidis in 229, and upon Aegidius' death twenty years later, succeeded him as the First Speaker of House Aegidius.
Cesiper died in 256. He was succeeded as First Speaker by his eldest filius, Julius.
He taught two students:
- Julius (A3), from 202 to 215
- Flavius (A5), from 208 to 223
through whom the majority of male Aegidians descend.
