Covenant Peppertree
founded 372; dissolved 388
A redemptive covenant, the first of two covenants founded by the namesake of the Anselmite Movement, Peppertree was founded on the principle of salvation and redemption through fellowship, study and labor. It served mainly as home to two Carnifician veterans of the Schism War, who sought to redeem themselves for their part in the diabolically-inspired invasion of Virginis In LItus, their students, and their confessor, the Aegidian Anselm.
The Covenant was dissolved in 388, when its members came to a parting of ways over the question of whether the actions of the rogue Savacion Siccoculus justified the violence of the rogue hunt.
It was succeeded by the Covenant of St. Pyrandor in 394.
