Priests of the Judge

The Judge is the incestuous child of the White Moon and his sister, the Pole Star.

The Judge sits in waiting for the end of the World, when he will judge the souls of the dead, feeding those with whom he is dissatisfied to the Great Dragon.

Priests of the Judge are a rare and dangerous breed. Their priesthood exists outside the structures of either the Celestial Priests, the priests of the evil gods, or the priests of the . They travel throughout the land, seeking out wrong doers and unbelievers to smite down. Their gaze strikes terror and shame into the hearts of any Gaetani who has not utterly renounced their faith in the Gaetani gods, and they are able to quickly turn a village against its unbelievers, evil god worshipers and common sinners.

When forced to, they can draw more directly upon the power of the Judge, and can use powerful overt magic to defend themselves or to sway a crowd.

Should a village (or a valley) prove unrepentant and hostile to a priest of the Judge; the Judges have the power to withdraw the protection of the King. Once the King's protection is lifted, monsters, evil gods, and every sort of disaster will creep in.

On the rare occasions that it is necessary to retract the protection of the King, the Judges will deputize proclamors to travel the afflicted land, warning everyone of their fallen state, and pronouncing the steps necessary to recover the good graces of the Judges, and the Protection of the King.

Judges wear a characteristic uniform of black coats and ornate tricorn hats. They carry a staff and a horn as badges of their office.
