Aliquis

("Someone")
filius Alcedo, of House Savacion
apprenticed 342; mage 358; died 420

Plenilunium Album: 342-352
Mille Lacus: 352-362
Carnifex: 362-364
Hermit: 364-367
Isrillion: 367-378
Mille Lacus: 378-420

Raised in Amicitian Fellowship with Quartus Oriens and Quilibet by Collacteus and the Power Trio until 352, when he was taken from Plenilunium Album to the founding of Covenant Mille Lacus, where he completed his training with Quilibet and under the Power Trio alone.

Cheerful and friendly, but not, alas, all that bright, Aliquis was a member of Mille Lacus's so-called Powerless Trio. True to that group's agreement, in 362 he joined the most representative Savacion covenant he could think of: the Carnifex. The Powerless Trio's timing was perhaps rather unfortunate from the perspective of its Savacion member: in 362, the Carnifex was right in the middle of fighting the diabolists of Prima Lux.

Aliquis was among the invaders of Covenant Virginis In Litus in 364, and he was one of the only three Carnifician Savacions to survive the final battle of the Schism War. Thereafter, he wandered the wilderness for a time with his two fellow survivors, Cordurus and Porphyrus the Younger, both of whom felt that their souls bore a permanent stench of diabolism for their complicity in the diabolic manipulations which had led to the invasion of Virginis in Litus. Aliquis, on the other hand, found himself constitutionally incapable of moping for all that long over his unwitting participation in a Demiurgic ploy. He could not help but feel that really, you know, the same thing could have happened to anyone, and in time, his ebullient and angst-free nature got on the other two's nerves. In 367, therefore, he parted from them and joined Covenant Isrillion.

He returned to Mille Lacus in 378, where he witnessed his parentes' ritual suicide in their last great device, and then settled down to raise students with his fellow Quilibet.

In 386, eager to repay the debt owed to the Praeteritans for their aid in helping lay Lynx's spirit to rest seven years before, Aliquis and his first student accompanied their colleagues Dumtaxat and Onyx to Praeterita to help protect that covenant against the rogue Siccoculus. It is possible that the Mille Lacusians did not believe their own covenant to be in any particular danger: although Mille Lacus was a Plenilunial covenant, Aliquis himself was, like Siccoculus, a veteran of the Schism War, and the two had been acquainted during their time in the Dawn. When he learned that ever since the Cholaeic Amnesty of 365, Siccoculus had been in the habit of referring to his sister Quilibet as "the diabolists' whore," he was genuinely shocked, and he returned to Mille Lacus to guard against possible attack later that year.

His second student, raised in a loose Amicitian fellowship with Quilibet's second student Quincunx from 400 to 415, proved only partially capable of learning Cholaeic magic and was never declared mage. He was killed in the violence of the Mille Lacus Incident, in which Aliquis himself also perished in 420.
