Some Notes on Quadra Casta (L7)

I'm leaving the Brellyn Lemmite biographies be for now, as Charles has expressed an interest in them, and my 1999 notes on them are...sketchy. To say the least. So just a few notes about her in addition to those things specified in her basic entry here.

The Brellyn Lemmites were among the destroyers of the Covenant at Chalcyphon, so it's possible that good old Quadra was among their number. Then again, she was rather elderly at the time, so possibly she merely directed the action from afar. It's also possible that she accompanied Lem on the hunt for Eleanor and was among the witnesses of her death: supposedly, many ("many?" there were only like seven or so of them! but soft...) of the Brellyn Lemmites were.

In Adventus Consilii's biography, I took the liberty of specifying that unlike some of the Brellyn Lemmites, she was gracious about Consilii Exspectans' death in the swamps of Orsa in 248.

Her only student, Phrenesis Bovis, converted to the Gravite doctrine in 257, which I cannot help but imagine came as quite a blow to her.

(Phrenesis Bovis was also later to become the leader of the Westmarchite School of Lemmish interpretation. She and Lem's last student Terminus, who led the Linguans--killed one other in a duel over the issue in 321. Of course, Quadra had already vanished with the rest of the Brellyn Lemmites decades before the Gravite schism happened, but it seems worth mentioning nonetheless.)
