apprenticed 363; mage 378

Rockroot: 374-388
Bethelion: 388-420
Hermit: 420-421
Whitestone: 421-

Apprenticed at Covenant Whitestone by the terram-specialized founder [T43]. In 373, when the terram magi schismed from the Plenilunial Elementalist movement, he was taken from Whitestone into the Skulstorren, where he was present for the founding of Covenant Rockroot one year later.

In 388, amazed by the dearth of terram-specialized Touccians at Covenant Bethelion, he and his friend [T59b] left Rockroot together to take up positions lecturing at the University. T57 would remain there for over thirty years, although he mentored only one student: [T80b], who graduated in 407.

In 412, he and T59b became deeply concerned about the fate of their parentes and ex-colleagues at Covenant Rockroot, which had fallen strangely silent. They wanted to travel to the Skulstorren to investigate, but since they were unwilling to leave their students bereft of any elementalist Touccian lecturers, they decided at length that T59b would travel to the Skulstorren with his filius [T80a], while T57 would remain behind to continue lecturing. T59b and his student never returned. T57 felt himself responsible for their deaths: he became so deeply and cripplingly depressed over the matter that the Board of Bethelion granted him a year-long leave of absence from his professorial duties. He returned to active teaching in 414.

Early in 420, T57 was caught up in a terrible scandal when he was found to have been engaging in inappropriate relations with one of his students, the protege of the Manerean lecturer Syzygia Grandis. He did not deny the charges and offered no explanation for his behavior. The Board ordered him to tender his resignation and leave Evasendia at once. He did so, and spent the winter as a hermit.

In 421, he received a kind letter from the Whitestone Cristoferean Stiria, who remembered him from the days of his apprenticeship and invited him to return to his "home" at Covenant Whitestone. Touched by her kindness, he agreed to join the covenant, where he quickly realized that Stiria's compassion had been motivated far more by the desire to lure a Rockroot Touccian back to Whitestone to help fix up the covenant than by any genuine emotion. All the same, he supposes that it's as good a place as any to be. For now. For the past four years, he's been doing what he can to try to spruce the place up.
