filia [T52], of House Derleth (formerly of House Touccio)
apprenticed 383; declared mage in 398
A member of Bethelion's third graduating class and the first woman to be taught by a man within House Touccio since Daenae, Arxarva made her name at a young age when, asked if she considered herself to be a "Daughter of Daenae" or a "Daughter of Castor," she famously replied that she considered herself a "Daughter of Elizabeth." She is an ardent Mavan and an outspoken feminist, and the mage by far most often suspected of being "Ursula."
A specialist in devices of scrying and communication, Arxarva communicated throughout her apprenticeship with the similarly-interested Cristoferean descendants of Coturnix at Covenant Fumus et Specula. Upon her graduation to magehood in 398, she joined them at that covenant, where she has raised one student, [T99], alongside theirs in a roughly Amicitian fashion.
Although she was a vocal supporter of the Derlethian Renunciation, Arxarva did not want to cut her filia off from any options which might otherwise be available to her; she therefore did not herself renounce House Touccio until after [T99] had graduated to magehood in 424.
Her name literally means "Ploughed Land Citadel" —which is to say, colloquially, "Molehill Mountain."
