The Founding of the Order (167-198)

This is a summary of The Founding of the Order, the first chapter of A Brief History of the Order. The original is in nine parts.

  • "Trismagistus," the teacher of three of the Order's founders, is killed in the fall of Evasendia to the Andar Rollo in 167. His students flee and scatter.
  • Ten years later, one of Trismagistus' students, Aegidius, resolves to found an Order of magi dedicated to preserving the knowledge of Tympania throughout the dark ages. To this end, he seeks out and finds his two former fellow students, Cristofer and Palenti.
  • Over the next twenty years, Aegidius scours the Known World for other magical practitioners. He only succeeds in finding four: Touccio, Lem, Eleanor, and Savacion.
  • Together, these seven magi found the Cholaeic Order in Evasendia in 198.
