Known in Gætani as:
- Ninak Tobhi’; Tobhi’pa’: the White Moon; White Moon priests
- Ninak Homma; Hommato’pa’: the Red Moon; Red Moon priests
- Ninak Hattak; Hattako’pa’: the Green Moon; Green Moon priests
- Hashaatabookoli’: the South Star, the Pole Star
The White Moon priests are responsible for the administration of the state. Their magical power is subtle and vast, with only a little direct power (their powers of persuasion over the faithful are legendary). They maintain the calendar, predict eclipses, and foresee the future. White moon priests blind themselves and incise a third eye into their foreheads.
The Red Moon priests are responsible for War. Most of their magical power derives from the theocratic artifacts that the millers are responsible for maintaining. Encased in their holy armor, they are a fair match for a mage (able to leap miles at a bound, impervious to injury, capable of dealing out mass death, capable of inspiring terror in their enemies troops, capable of driving their own troops into unstoppable frenzy) in combat. Red moon priests blind themselves, and depend on their magical devices for sight.
The Green Moon priestesses are responsible for the health of the Nation. Their magic is predominantly subtle and vast, like the White Moon priests. They also possess powerful direct healing magic for diseases of both people and animals. Green moon priests blind themselves, and incise eyes on the palms of their hands.
The priests of the celestial gods are rarely seen outside of Capitol Island, with the exception of Red Moon priests, who are also often seen in the Marches, waging war on the Ulveg.
