Festinatio Diligens

("Deliberate Haste")
filius Tecmessa, of House Cristofer
apprenticed 341; mage 356

Antrum: 341-367
Alae Fractae: 367-385
Antrum: 385-392
Council of 198: 392-401
Annalum: 401-

Raised at Antrum, he was sent as a "vulture" to the ailing reactionary covenant Alae Fractae in 367. In 386 he won wide-spread admiration when, even after the violent confrontation with Siccoculus in which his student Cornix was injured, he refused to abandon the covenant until he felt certain that none of its more committed members ever intended to return. He was the last mage to leave Alae Fractae, after which he returned to Antrum, where he developed a wide reputation for both political neutrality and moral integrity. In 392, he was chosen to replace Stefan as the representative of his House on the Council of One Ninety Eight, where he strongly opposed mage intervention in the issue of the Ventrian succession. Left unscathed by the Vestran purge, he retired to Annalum upon the dissolution of the Council in 401. He is currently the First Speaker of the Cristoferean High Council.

Although descended from a traditionalist lineage, with ties to none of the more unorthodox factions of the Order, Festinatio Diligens' critics insist that his moderate image is a facade which barely serves to disguise his strong Plenilunial bias. He has trained two students: his first filius, Cornix, is a corpus specialist at Covenant Antrum; his second, Aelfred, was among the founders of Covenant Ne Interire in 402, and remains one of his more outspoken critics.
