Handsome, charismatic, and an infinitely more cerebral mage than his parens was--or, for that matter, than either of his two filii would be--Alcedo was generally considered the leader of the Power Trio during his own lifetime. More recently, however, scholars have come to believe that it was in fact his low-key colleague Nocturnus who served as the quietly dominant member of the group.
